With the new Good-Night package, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is expanding the range of uses of the ID. Buzz and making the all-electric Bulli even more versatile. In combination with the latest generation of software, the vehicle becomes a comfortable companion for spontaneous camping trips and weekend trips.
The new Good-Night package was specially developed for occasional campers and offers a well-thought-out all-in-one solution for overnight stays in the vehicle. The equipment includes a bed frame, a custom-fit folding mattress (2.0m x 1.2m), a blackout set for the windows and practical accessories such as a table and two chairs as well as ventilation grilles for the front side windows. This allows the ID. Buzz to be transformed into a comfortable micro-camper for two people.
A central element for a comfortable overnight stay at the Buzz is the new “Overnight” mode, introduced with the latest software generation. It enables continuous air conditioning of the interior for up to 48 hours. This ensures that the interior temperature remains constant overnight, regardless of external conditions. At the same time, unnecessary lighting and functions are reduced to create a quiet sleeping environment and optimize energy consumption.
In addition, users benefit from the vehicle-to-load (V2L) function, which turns the ID. Buzz into a mobile power source. A 230-volt power supply with up to 2,000 watts of continuous output can be accessed via suitable adapters. This allows a wide range of electrical devices to be operated while camping – from cool boxes and coffee machines to chargers for e-bikes.
With this combination of well-designed accessories, intelligent software, and electrical infrastructure, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles underlines its commitment to developing innovative solutions for a new generation of everyday-friendly mobile leisure concepts. The ID. Buzz once again proves to be a versatile all-rounder – both for everyday use and for travel.
