Van Mossel Automotive Group has reached an agreement on the intended acquisition of Auto Idea. With this step, the group expands its international network to an eighth country and enters the Polish market for the first time.
Auto Idea operates across four locations in Poland, including a newly built showroom in Warsaw opened in 2024. The company is based in Białystok, Olsztyn and Warsaw with two locations (Łomianki and Artyleryjska), representing the Mercedes-Benz brand for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. In 2025, the company generated revenue of approximately €235 million, with the sale of around 3,000 new and 570 used vehicles. The organisation employs approximately 350 people.
Strategic expansion in Europe
With its entry into Poland, Van Mossel further expands its geographic footprint and strengthens its position as a fast-growing automotive group in Europe. With a large and growing automotive market and strong economic development, Poland represents a logical next step in Van Mossel’s continued European expansion.
Auto Idea’s activities align with Van Mossel’s strategy of partnering with strong, locally anchored dealer organisations, with a clear focus on premium brands and customer-centricity.

Continuity and collaboration
Auto Idea’s current organisation will be retained and will continue its operations within the group. Through the partnership with Van Mossel, the company will benefit from international scale, expertise and support, while preserving its local strength and market position.
The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of June 2026.
