Rhenus Türkiye has received Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification, strengthening its ability to support international supply chains with efficient, secure and compliant customs processes.
The certification, granted by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, confirms that Rhenus Türkiye meets high standards in customs compliance, operational reliability, security, traceability and record management. It covers the company’s customs-related activities and supports its international freight forwarding and cross-border logistics operations, reinforcing its role in facilitating reliable trade flows through Türkiye.
Obtaining AEO certification marks the successful completion of a comprehensive process that took approximately three years. During this period, Rhenus Türkiye continuously reviewed and standardized its operational procedures, internal controls and compliance structures to meet the strict requirements defined by the authorities.
Faster customs procedures and greater shipment predictability
For customers, the certification translates into more efficient customs procedures, reduced risk of delays and improved shipment predictability. It also enhances supply chain security and reduces administrative complexity, supporting smoother cross-border operations in an increasingly dynamic global trade environment.
“Global supply chains are becoming more complex and require a high level of reliability and transparency,” said Korcan Tuğrul, Managing Director Road Freight, Rhenus Türkiye. “With the AEO certification, we have further strengthened our internal structures and capabilities to meet these expectations. This allows us to provide our customers with more consistent processes and greater confidence when moving goods across borders.”
The AEO certification marks another step in Rhenus Türkiye’s continuous improvement journey. Building on this achievement, the company plans to further expand its customs capabilities and pursue additional customs simplification programs
