MEILLER has been developing and manufacturing hooklift systems for construction and waste-management applications for many years. In demanding operations, durability, long service life and flexibility are essential. With the new TECTRUM RS32, MEILLER is expanding its RS series with its most powerful hooklift yet, designed for particularly demanding applications.
With a nominal load capacity of 32 tonnes, the TECTRUM RS32 is designed for heavy-duty applications in the construction industry, on landfill sites and in operations involving frequent container handling. It is particularly suited to applications where high loads and regular changes between different container types are part of everyday operations.
“The TECTRUM RS32 is the logical evolution of our proven RK30,” says Michael Eicheldinger, Head of the Container Handling Systems Product Line at MEILLER. “With a two-tonne increase in nominal load capacity and a robust design, it offers additional reserves for applications where vehicles regularly operate close to their load limits.”
Robust design for heavy loads
The TECTRUM RS32 is based on a modular vehicle concept that can be adapted to different operational requirements. Its robust design features KTL coating for long-term corrosion protection and a fully bolted construction for easy servicing and repair.
The combination of a modular architecture and robust construction makes the TECTRUM RS32 a reliable solution for heavy-duty applications while providing the flexibility needed to meet different operational requirements.
TECTRUM RS32: Designed for international markets
The TECTRUM RS32 can be configured for different chassis layouts and market-specific requirements. In Germany, the hooklift is available for four-axle chassis, while five-axle configurations are planned for the Swiss and Austrian markets. The additional axle allows for higher permissible gross weights and ensures compliance with national regulations.
For the Swiss market, MEILLER also offers a new underride guard specifically adapted to local requirements. The system combines a hydraulically folding underride guard with a hydraulic scissor-type underride guard.
Extensive TECTRUM options for individual applications
The TECTRUM portfolio offers a wide range of options and accessories, allowing the hooklift to be configured to suit different applications. In addition to functionality and durability, low-noise operation is becoming increasingly important. Suitable equipment options help reduce noise emissions, an advantage for both operators and the environment. Combined with alternatively powered chassis, these solutions enable particularly quiet operation.
Different hook arm configurations are available to meet specific application requirements. In addition to the telescopic hook arm (T), MEILLER offers telescopic and swivelling hook arms (TS / TSN).
The robust T version is well suited to operations involving containers of largely uniform dimensions. The TS / TSN versions provide greater flexibility when handling containers of different sizes and under varying operating conditions. They enable containers to be picked up from a flat position, simplify handling where headroom is limited and allow containers to be transferred easily onto rail wagons.
Another option is the hydraulic roller support, which enables smooth and material-friendly container handling. During transport, the container rests securely on steel supports, preventing it from shifting unintentionally. When the container needs to be moved, extendable rollers automatically lift it off the supports and allow it to be repositioned smoothly.
This reduces stress on the body, chassis, hydraulics and container while also significantly lowering noise levels. The system is particularly beneficial in residential areas, during night-time deliveries and in other noise-sensitive environments. Reduced jolting and vibration also improve driver comfort.
With its wide range of options and accessories, the TECTRUM can be configured to meet a broad range of operational requirements, from robust standard solutions to equipment designed for particularly smooth, comfortable and low-noise operation.
IAA Transportation 2026
Various TECTRUM hooklift systems, including the new TECTRUM RS32 and a TECTRUM RS21 equipped with hydraulic roller support, will be on display at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hanover.
Visitors can meet MEILLER from 15 to 20 September 2026 at Pavilion P32 and the adjacent outdoor area.
